Vacation Bible School

VBS is a nationwide program many churches offer where the purpose is to incorporate themed activities that entertain kids with the chance to learn about God. Church membership is not required to participate. VBS is typically a week-long for about 3 hours each day in the evenings. VBS takes place in the summer. Our VBS program will choose one theme for the week to decorate with and to creatively adapt it to teachings from the Bible. Some activities that we do in VBS include: prayer, Bible stories, arts and crafts, games, songs, snack breaks, and character-building activities.

The age range for VBS is ages 2-12

Cost is free

Volunteers to help with VBS are always welcome, even up to the day VBS begins. You can help with snacks, crafts, childcare at the church, registration, setting up, breaking down, storytelling, coordinating other volunteers and more. If you prefer a hands-off approach, churches also ask for donations of household items, such as used toilet paper rolls or popsicle sticks, for some of their crafts or decorations. You can contact FBC to find out what their needs are for VBS that year.
